It was suggested to me by my stepmother that I should start giving private art lessons in my home. I’m not a stranger to teaching art, but in a space as private as my own home and without a curriculum, I feel intimidated.
It’s actually been going pretty well.
It feels really good to teach adults (very young adults) who know how to listen and who I already have a good rapport with. What’s really helping me through this is the newest TikTok trend of “personal curriculum”. It’s easier if they build their own curriculum of what they want to learn in art because otherwise I have no goals to teach to.
For the first time in a long time, the future looks bright.
My goal was to post something new every week, but it looks like I’ve been reduced to once-a-month. Welp.
